At Helping Hands Childminding we offer an intimate, home from home setting. We are working at extremely low ratios, we have 4 Educators working with a regular number of 12 children per day. We have a lovely playroom inspired by ‘hygge’ filled with open-ended resources

Hi, I’m Hannah! When I started Helping Hands, I had a vision of creating something different. I wanted to move away from busy, overstimulating environments and excessive paperwork, and instead create a calm, nurturing, home from home setting where children feel relaxed, happy, and valued.
Our child led approach allows educators to spend more time building meaningful relationships, supporting learning through everyday moments, and providing rich, hands on experiences in the real world. Our curriculum is tailored to each child's individual needs, helping them develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.
Over the years, I have proudly watched this vision come to life. We have recently completed some wonderful renovations and created exciting new learning spaces, further enhancing the environment we offer. I am incredibly proud of the high quality care and education provided at Helping Hands and the positive impact we continue to have on the lives of our children and their families.
Shirley & John Watts

Hi, we are Shirley and John (Hannah's parents) and we love sharing our home with Helping Hands Childminding. We love being able to provide the children with a fantastic space to help them learn, grow and have lots of fun! Shirley has experience leading various children's holiday clubs and she was a school governor at our local Primary School.
